Just 52 Hours

GunSlinger (CS.de) has sent over an email to let us know that they're having a mapping contest over on their site called 'Just 52 Hours'. As you may have guessed the point of the contest is to see which mapper can make the best quality map in only 52 hours:

• the mappers will have a limited span of time (52 hours) to create a counter-strike map

• there will be one topic for the contest - the created maps must be related to it in some way

• the mappers will receive a special wadfile containg suitable textures for that topic

• Apart from this wad, only the halflife.wad and decals.wad may be used, thus creating comparable maps and equal conditions for everybody

• the identities of the mapper will be kept secret until the winner is named to avoid influenced decisions and to create even more suspense

• we will establish an additional message board where the jury will present the maps to give everybody the chance to comment on the maps

The contest is all set to take place this weekend (12^th - 14^th Oct) and the winners will have their map included in one of the cs.de server mapcycles, as well as a free Bender longshirt from their online shop.
