Midway, over on Domain of Games, has written up a new article entitled 'CS, The Next Spectator Sport'. He discusses various aspects of CS and how they could/do fit in with pro-gaming:"HLTV’s importance is hard to understand unless you take a step back and view it from what it takes to show a Football game or any other major sporting event. The number of cameras and editing crews required for each broadcast of these events is mammoth undertaking. Counter-Strike’s HLTV takes most of that work away. Providing instant data scream, with every angle and overhead view imaginable, almost a Producer’s wet dream."
Well worth a read. The article was written in response to a cpl recap article that appeared over on shackes (see mon 17th news).
