CPL Europe Changes Rules

Posted by b1az0r at 17:13 22/12/2001.

CPL Europe recently updated their rules for the 2002 CPL European Events.

"Following the great succes at the Counter-Strike world championship in Dallas, which was carried out according to the "maxrounds system", the CPL Europe is going to adapt its rules accordingly. Already the next and all following CPL Europe Events 2002 will be held exlusively following this new system."

They also forbid manual adjustment of players configs. All changes made must now take place in the offical CPL GUI.

Like the World CPL Championships, "Terrorist" and "Counter-Terrorist" are no longer used.

"The Counter-Strike CPL Special Edition, which is the official game version for the CPL European championships, has been changed to the effect that as of immediately there will only be "attackers" and "defenders". These titles replace the previously used terms "Counter-Terrorists" and "Terrorists" there are no gameplay changes involved though."

There's an spelling error in the topic - it should be "CPL Europoop Changes Rules" instead of "CPL Euroupe Changes Rules" ;)
