As the title suggests, beta testing has begun. Those who were lucky enough to be chosen as beta testers would have received an email just like this:Hello,Thank you for applying to be a Valve Beta Tester. This message is to inform you of a testing opportunity. Valve is currently developing technology for delivering content across the Internet. Testing will begin shortly and we need to confirm your interest in helping out. You will have access to current versions of Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, and Death Match Classic. As changes are made to these games during the beta period you will automatically receive the updates.
Members of this test program will have the opportunity to beta test Version 1.4 of Counter-Strike which includes new features and maps. This will be the only access to Version 1.4 made available before release.
Thank you,
Valve Software
