Counter-Strike.net has been updated, with info on the new 1.0b server side patch. Only server admins need the
patch, so us normal people can ignore. Both Windows and Linux flavours are available, and it fixes:
- The problem with some clients lagging for a round or two at the beginning of a map
- The "listmaps" command so it displays all the maps
You should also make sure you're running Valve's newest HL server files as well. You can get the Win upgrade, Win full, or Linux full from
Fileplanet. The fixes on the HL server:
- Merged a bit of missing code between versions 1.1.0.1 and 1.1.0.4
- "ERROR: SZ_GetSpace: overflow without FSB_ALLOWOVERFLOW set" crashing servers
- "ERROR: Dormant entity player is thinking!!" crashing servers
- Problem with fragmentation & reassembly of packets.
- Fixed the rcon 'say' command putting " " around every token
- Fixed small memory leak problem when using bots
- Put client's IP address back into the 'status' command
