eCore, a clan with a mission

When TRCC|Nighty was approached to pick a team of players and form a clan that would have the potential to be the best clan in the UK, not to mention being a strong force in Europe, nighty, in his wisdom, did just that. Recruiting players from mainly from UI, he assembled some hot talent that has all the makings of a clan with a simple mission to dominate Europe.

Speaking to Raider, who assisted Nighty, he had time to answer a few questions for us:

(dunkz): First off, whose inspiration was it to form eCore and how was the rest of the team recruited?
(Raider^): Nighty and myself. With UI losing 2 top players and a few bad results I got disheartened, when night was approached, I jumped at the chance, then the rest of the team were asked whether they were interested, once it was clear we all were, we began to discuss how we would go about it

(dunkz): So what is the history behind the name eCore?
(Raider^): well, it is a new cybercafe opening soon which will be offering sponsorship, so I’ll have to ask the boss that one :)

(dunkz): So who was else was recruited and why?
(Raider^): I recruited lil and toomy due to the sheer skills they have shown both online and on LAN, procedure because he is such a solid player & has amazing teamwork, and lastly benji cause he's good apparently :P

(dunkz): With a team of a lot of talent and quality, what realistic targets are you setting the clan to achieve?
(Raider^): To get to the final of the next UK LAN (not i10) and (if we take over uninspired in opencup) to get to the latter stages in that, if not win it

(dunkz): Do you see yourselves being European quality and able to compete with the best of Europe or do you feel that the UK CS scene is still too far behind the rest of Europe?
(Raider^): I do believe that we can become European quality. Infinity-eSports are already proving its possible, and with a lot of hard practice, get teamwork sorted etc, I believe we have the skill and dedication to challenge in Europe

(dunkz): Speaking of Infinity-eSports and the rest of UK, who do you see as your main rivals in the UK?
(Raider^): DNC (if they included) Infinity-eSports, also Nocturne appear to be on the up again, with some good results, so they will be too if they continue in such a manner

(dunkz): What about UI and their future after the lose of some important players?
(Raider^): They still have 4 players of high quality, and Landshark has said he will endeavour to continue UI but maybe in another form. What changes we see I am yet to know, but with those 4 players they can still be a top UK clan.
