NiP clubhouse opens

The official NiP clubhouse was opened today. The clubhouse featuring 10 high spec computers and a 100mb connection looks set to be the future venue from which all NiP players compete online.

I was able to speak with NiP's manager G3X regarding the opening of what is undoubtely going to become one of the main gamer attractions in Sweden.

Myers - So what exactly is this "clubhouse"?

NiP-G3X- - Its a new partnership, Its an internet cafeNine [9] in Central Stockholm and we have a clan room with 10PC in LAN 100Mbit line etc...We will praccy there and play EC5 etc. NiP will be playing there everyday, we will also have alot of events

Myers - How close is the clubhouse to where the NiP players live?

NiP-G3X- - I live 4 blocks away ;), Potti, Ahl, Heaton ; live about 20 min away. Xeqtr might move to Stockholm soon

Myers - Any pictures of the room up?

NiP-G3X- - We will soon have a webcam up, so people can watch :), will be loads of fun. the whole idea is that people can pop in and say hello :).

Myers - So what were these future events u spoke of?

NiP-G3X- - We will have gatherings so people can come and play in LAN vs NiP people ask us all the time about things like that so this is a way to meet their wishes ;) actually 5 and 6th of April we will have a gathering event, Free entrance.

Myers - Wont it be a bit crowded?

NiP-G3X- - Yes it probably will be, but that is a positive problem :). This is for people to come and ask questions and so forth. We want people to have some access to what NiP is all about. We want to give this to people that has been showing us such as great support.

Well this seems to be another move by the CS world champions towards professional gaming. Own venue, manager, sponsors etc, lets hope that others can follow.
