Gainward UK CPL Qualifier - The Northampton Heat

DeadMode (PC Gaming Supervisor at The IT Centre) has written up an extensive review of last Saturday's Northampton Heat for the Gainward CPL UK Qualifier. The four clans in attendence were ERM, Special Operations 19, Desolation and Fluid Element - with ERM of course winning the event:

Upper bracket match 1 : First up were top seeds erm vs fourth seeds Fluid Element (fl.e) on map DE_INFERNO. fl.e certainly had a tough fixture on their hands in this match. erm were the favourites for this heat, and their form right from the start showed why. Having won the first round, erm quickly established their dominance as CT and locked down the main routes through to the bomb sites. fl.e bided their time until the fourth round at which point they could afford some decent weapons for the first time. fl.e-SG obviously revelling in having something other than a Glock to fire went on a rampage with his AWM and managed 3 kills in a row. The round ended with just 2 erm left vs 1 fl.e, but erm managed to overwhelm the last man and win the round. The rest of the rounds passed quite quickly with erm winning most rounds comfortably.
