Another very entertaining night of BWCSL action in many respects, with clans pitting their skills against each other on the unfamiliar territory of de_clan2_fire. Here are the results in full:The FCC v dNC match went right to the wire. A good early 2nd half performance from FCC kept them in the game (helped greatly by JediBitch's AWPing moments), and at one stage dNC needed 6 of the last 8 rounds to win, a tough task indeed. Then Ajam started to pick off people with his AK before AWPing his way through FCC, backed up well by his teammates (Although he managed to suicide twice). In the final round it went down to 2v2, dNC planted the bomb as FCC approached the site. A grenade was thrown in and FCC attacked, taking out 1 dNC player, only for the last dNC to take out the remaining FCC members.

Incase u hadnt heard they merced lil, which tbh is completely unfair. Im not moaning (well tbh i am) but he was in a class of his own. NS and SA would of been evenly matched if it werent for lil who just simply won the game for them. Ok in the BWCSL rules it is completely fair for NS to have lil... however erm if u ask me it is blatent mercing and Rogue has already agreed with me to update the rules to stop this kind of thing happening again.
I am also completely disapointed in lil himself. I mean he is a well respected player and surely it wasnt that fun for him ? Spoiling an OFFICIAL bwcsl match ? yeah thx mate thought I-eS were a good bunch of lads but ur obviously a tit. Hopefully the rest of I-eS arnt like u tbh I have it on good authority that DART isnt...
k so yeah rant over tbh want a rematch not default cos that would just be lame...
tbh im still shocked that anyone could be that lame to recruit such a well known player and use him just to win a game they thought might be close...

as u can see there he aint a member.... only thing he is in is their wonID list.
maybe make it so they have to be both members and wonID registered and like set a rule that u have to apply new members like 7 days before the match otherwise they cant play? just an idea [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

BWCSL could do something similar for example, in the case of NS vs SA, lil would not have been registered on won id as he wouldnt have been added at the season start, and therefore SA would be in the position of whether they will overlook the won id/player or call the rule into play before the match commences. In a normal situation, if the player was a not i-es lil, most the clans in the bwcsl would be mature enough to allow the other clan to field the player in the interests of a good fair game rather than forcing the opposition to give default win o_O [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

the lil thing - it aint right jus bringing a well known member from UKs number 1 clan to play for u. You registered him for bwcsl legally etc etc but we could just register any odd good player to try n make us win game

Only way to stop it is to appeal to a clans sense of sportsmanship and fair play. I mean tbh if we had someone managed to convince SK to play for us (through bribes natch) then they would be moaning as well imho. Infact tbh u could get anyone from any top european clan to play quiet easily if u knew them.
What is needed surprissingly is for the UK CS scene to GROW UP and stop being so lame and pathetic. And then we can all start walkin on water and never miss etc etc another thing to be added to the list of things that will never happen...

Yes lil played well cause obviously he is class, did he carry us... NO. He finished top as t's yes but not as ct's.
I sent the e-mail updating our wonid list sometime last week (i think) and asked splidge tonight if our wonid list had been updated and he replied just done it.
He could of just given me a made up wonid and played under an alias but he didnt.
A side note on the sportmanship side of things you may want to ask FCC a thing or 2 about that as like 45 mins b4 our game vs them i said we wouldnt have a team and whoever it was i was speaking to ( think it was jedib***h) said we may be able to get it postponed to week 10. I said yeah they will if you agree and thanks. He replied ok ill talk to the admin. Game time comes and the admins in #bwcsl room asking us to join server, im like errr aint it postponed so he went back into the server asked them then said theyre taking the default win.

but the Div 1 clans normally have a set squad of players from what i have seen so as has been said ^^^ only the players registered at the start of the season should be allowed to compete. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

And to lil issue, how about just banning all i-es players from bwcsl unless they actually have a team. They are the only players that are likely to outclass anyone else in a div1 game. Doubt many people in div could get players from other top eu clans to play. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

we wud have liked to play the match,but we had put time into practicing and its really annoying when u invest time into something,and the clan dont have the decency to tell u more than 30 mins b4 the game.
If u had told us earlier we wud have reschedule,infact some of us still wanted to,but i decided against it.

We do as much as possible to stop mercs and we did ban somebody for it last week, since he was registered for another BWCSL clan. Our current rules do work in some situations and it's better than having no rules at all. But sadly, I think the chances of a perfect anti-merc system are pretty slim. Some form of transfer window system and more than 24 hours notice would help these problems sort themselves, most mercs only paly on spur of the moment, if they can be organised enough to want to play a week or so ahead and still turn up for the match, thats fair play.
As to why SO19 defaulted, we lost 2 players this week, with a 3rd on holiday til saturday (when this player is Lewis, we know theres gonna be problems :)) We tried to get a team for today, even moved the time forward so that phantom could play from finland. Sadly unforseen circumstances stopped one person playing, and another disappeared 5 minutes before the match, despite playing in our 7pm pcw.
Our apologies to ONE, who could justifiably feel messed about a bit, having been good enough to change their evenings schedule at 34 hours notice. Sorry lads :( [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

I admit Scara u played very well and in some places better than lil. However his positioning and experience of what to do and where to go was invaluable. I mean tbh 1st rnd as T none of u even knew u could jump over that ledge fs ? TBH ur just really really lame nuff said.

If i-es use them tactics then ill blow myself in public (which i cant do btw, im quite a way off ;P ) .lil didnt even know the map same as the rest of us he thought it was mill lol. The thing is, if you really wanted to get away with it, you could add another WON'id, use a members CD Key whos WON'id is there. If there were any suspicions, then you could refer back to who signed up, and match their IP up. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
