- Multiplay UK have updated their site with info on their new "co-location" hosting deal for the i7 lan event (Newbury, March 30th - 1st April 2001).
They've also finished the first draft of the i7 seating plan. This, the room layout images and more information is available over at their site. - Realbot Beta 2.1 has been released. Nothing fancy, just a dedicated server command added and a rb_basedelay command built in.
Stefan also talks of whats planned in RB Beta 3:The new RB should be able (and i want to have this in, else no RB Beta 3 :) )... to scan the entire map. It will happen only ONCE. Once it scanned it, it will save the info on a file. And from that on. RB knows where it can move to. And where it cannot. The CPU usage will be lowered BIG TIME. I cant promise anything. But it should be like POD bot or maybe even LOWER!
- Counter-Strike 2d has completed the first of many planned updates to ensure their maps are CS v1.1 compatible. CS_office has been updated and CS_delta assault has been added.
- Missed this one when it was released, but Gamers Sanctuary have posted an ickle guide to 56k Gaming.
- Counter-Strike Open Source has updated to pre-beta 2.
CSOS is an open source mod resembling counter strike. It's main purpose is to educate future mod authors on concemptual and technical aspects of mod development.
- The updated log format in Half-Life 1.1.0.6 and CS 1.1 have caused code-monkeys to go into upgrade fury on their stat utilities:
- There's a new 'Counter-Strike for newbies guide' doing the rounds. CS_newbie is it's name. Helpful if 1.1 is the first version of CS you've played.
Scarily though, it recommends some science fiction books that "you may find of interest" towards the end of the guide, as "they'll get your mind going" ...
