That’s right, SK.swe have just won CPL Cannes 2003 and take home 1st place as well as 5,000 EURO. SK.swe have just beaten [9].esu on de_nuke and after 2 solid days of Counter-Strike can call themselves CPL Cannes 2003 winners. Here is a breakdown of the match:

Overall the tournament has been a big success with lots of coverage available for your viewing pleasure. #cpl.france and #cpl.cannes.cs has had constant HLTV and Match bot coverage with ourselves as well as gotFrag and schroet providing news, fixtures and up to the minute results as they come in.

For many this top 8 seems near enough right but you cant help but notice the absence of GoodGame and a-Losers. Also missing are aT, esu*eoL and mTw.aTn who failed to make the event for various reasons. Teams who in my eyes have improved vastly and have had a good event include SoA, Unit of Ghosts and Pro-Pain. These clans can take a lot from the event.

It took it a while to actually happen, but after being cancelled twice the people over at CPL Europe finally made it happen. Congratulations to the winners, and well done to all who took part. Hopefully there will be a British team at the next CPL event.
