One of the World's most well known leagues, the Swedish E-Sport League, yesterday announced some changes for Division 1 in the upcoming season. The leagues website presented this reasoning for the changes:
After discussion with several teams and referees, we have come to the conclusion that the SEL division one needs to reformat to better fit the e-Sport community of today.The rules and regulations need to be loosened up to better suit the teams in this fast moving world.
In order to achieve the above, they have made the following changes:
It remains to be seen if the changes will improve the league, but it does seem that they are slackening up on the rules that used to set them apart from the rest.
