Over at Stomped they have released another set of interviews, this time with the makers of some of the Counter-Strike maps. Here they speak to, Chris "N@rby" Auty maker of both de_aztec and cs_thunder, Chris Mair from Barking Dog Studios who made de_train and finally Mike "Cadaver" Rosser who created de_vegas. Heres an extract:

Stomped: How did you become interested in level design?

Auty: Back while playing Quake i wondered how they made the maps and posted a question on a quake forum and someone pointed me towards worldcraft. I wanted to create worlds of my own, i thought it would be fun to recreate places from real life.

Stomped: When did you first become involved in creating Counter-Strike maps?

Auty: I started playing cs shortly after the release of beta 1, a friend had played it and said it was a lot of fun. I liked it so much i felt i wanted to make maps for it.
