Major Change in 4Kings

Thought of as one of a few top clans in the UK Four Kings have decided to make some major internal changes. Their leader, The Genius, emailed me with this following statement:

As of the end of August, 4K will consist of only six members, following the same pattern that the top European clans have adopted, which enables players to settle into their roles more, and of course if you change the lineup every night, how can you develop real teamwork. TheGenius, Oppie, Liquid, DanFrag, Grim and Darth will be the only members staying on and i8 will be the finale for the current team as a whole.

We have also called off our trip to the Berlin CPL and some other sponsorship treats until we settle into the new system, and get used to living without all the other guys who have been such integral parts of the team for so long. It was a very unpleasant thing to have to do, but had to be done in order for us to improve.

To clear up the other news which apparently leaked from our private forums, I wont be leaving 4K, nor will Oppie and Liquid. This was something we were considering doing, in order to be able to start a new team and run it the way we felt would adhere to our ambitions. However after seeing that many more members of the clan felt the same way, it seemed better just to completely flush the current 4K CS team.

There are some bad feelings about this internally, everyone was keen on the new way, but of course the lineup choice would bring problems whatever the situation. 4K wont be competing in any Internet competitions apart from Clanbase Cups before 2002 (at least).

This must have obviously been a major blow to the members who were not chosen, but after many people have branded UK clans as miles behind their European rivals it may be the beginning of a better, more skillful and team play orientated UK Clan.
