CAL-I 4:1 Results

The CAL League kicked off once again last night on de_cpl_fire. This was the first set of games to use 1.6 and following the CAL's earlier announcement that the shield would not be used the games proved very interesting.

3D's win over Echo 7 leaves them still unbeaten whilst shockwave came back from behind to pull off a surprise win against TSG. The next set of games take place on Thursday.

	Chris0 22:10 30/9/2003	UK would have a better scene, if all the top uk teams entered a league setup, like CAL-i, but 4K will never do it unless £5,000,000,000 is on the line. shame really, UK really needs a CAL-i/m style online tournament. 	Chris0 23:24 30/9/2003	Psy^ it attracted the ideal teams imo, they were the teams who play cos they like playing, nothing was promised upfront "heres £1000" or anything, and it ran as smoothly possible (uber thx to Nick^ if ur idling) :) Was good teams in it too, only 1 team dropped b4 it started. (6K^ in between forming lc) But to make a league like CAL u need all the top teams, maybe if 4K didnt enter, and all the others did, ONE,omg!,i-es etc, then it would work, but with all of them it wouldnt. If 3D dropped from CAL, then u could see 3/4 dropping too. 	Ki3l 01:20 1/10/2003	Thanks, we can only set up the system, its up for the cs community to embrace it, to show everyone that the UK scene HAS got world class clans, but dont get the chance to show their skills on a regular basis. If everyone was playing a clan of equal abilty each week in this format naturally tactics etc are gonna improve, whether your playing for fun in a clan of mates, or a pr0 clan.
