CPL Oslo - eoLithic Take Top Spot

Whilst most of us have been concentrating on affairs at the WCG UK qualifiers, there has been plenty top action taking place over in Oslo at the latest CPL Europe event. It's now all over, with newly formed eoLithic being crowned champs. Here's a summary, courtesy of ShackES:

"On the Counter-Strike side of things, up in the winners bracket eoLithic had to face off against mousesports in the winners bracket finals. The game wasn't all that close though, and eoLithic walked away with a 13-6 win on de_nuke. Down in the losers bracket, the top ranked team going into the event, mTw.alternate, had to crawl through the very tough losers bracket after getting knocked out of the winner's bracket early on against Dynamic Crew.

mTw went through online easily, then stomped erratic 13-3 on de_nuke to move on and play a very tough iddqd|Gamereactor squad. mTw didn't sweat it though, with a sound 13-6 win on de_clan1_mill. Then they were off to the highly anticipated rematch against Dynamic Crew. In front of a huge HLTV audience, mTw played a lot better this time around and proved why they were ranked #1 going into the tournament, winning by a score of 13-7 on de_prodigy. To get to the finals, mTw then had to defeat mousesports and they did just that, stomping them by a blowout score of 13-2 on de_inferno.

The finals just ended about an hour or so ago, in front of a couple thousand fans online. It came down to the 1st seed mTw against the 4th seed eoLithic, but eoLithic certainly had the momentum going into the match, having gone undefeated in the tournament going into this match. The match was played on de_nuke, and mTw started out on the CT side, gathering a 8-4 lead at the half way point. The teams then switched sides for the second half, and it was all eoLithic at this point, as they went on a huge 9-1 run to win the tournament, 13-9. Congrats to eoLithic."

eoL take home €4000 for their troubles, whilst mTw and mouz take home €2500 and €1250, respectively. Dynamic Crew, CosaNostra, iddqd, Ocrana, and erratic, in that particular order, make up the top 8 from the event. Well played to all involved.
