ESL Pro-Series Season 4

The Electronic Sports League has been around for a while now with its ESL Pro-Series being the centerpiece, which was won by mousesports last season. Just around the corner though is when it starts all over again, as Season 4 begins with the qualifiers on the 10^th-12^th of February; these will be in a best four of five fashion. Here is the list/seeds of teams that will be fighting it out this season:

The top 10 positions are the teams that have automatically qualified. Positions 11^th-14^th are the ones that need to qualify before progressing, whilst positions 15^th-16^th drop to the Electronics Amateur Season.

The best four of five matches will be taking place between the top teams from Division 1 of the EAS. This consists of the four main divisions and positions 11^th-14^th place EPS teams. The league is quite similar to the CAL-O and the CAL-Premier, with teams being moved up through the ladders and the top two teams from Division 1 receiving autoberths into the EPS.

Here are the matches for the qualifiers, along with the schedules and maps:

nine-friends vs EAS 6^th place finisher
EFF-KULT vs EAS 4^th place finisher
DkH.Mystify vs EAS 5^th place finisher
February 10^th (Tuesday) - 8pm - de_dust2
February 10^th (Tuesday) - 9pm - de_nuke
February 11^th (Wednesday) - 8pm - de_cbble
February 11^th (Wednesday) - 9pm - de_train
February 12^th (Thursday) - 8pm - de_inferno

The Amateur Series will be wrapped up this Monday, with the current leaders being Team64.AMD, who hold a very impressive 18-3 record. Team64 will be taking on faculty.cs, who are currently ranked 3^rd, on February 2^nd. Check out the amateur standings on the official site.

Re stuff like the element/MadB interviews, we've always covered interviews from anywhere in the community so that's nothing new. Re CAL/ESL, they're a minority amongst the news posts, but like someone else pointed out, you don't have to read it... other recent news included zebras in the OC, tR reforming, morph joining noc....all in the last 2 days, and very much UK news. what else has happened in the last two days? there's a submit news button over there if you have something worth telling us.
