ACON5 UK Prizes

With the ACON5 UK Finals hovering just over a mere week away, Dom Mulroy of iGUK fame has released the following information relating to the UK final prizes:

  • 1st - The winning 5 team members will receive an expenses paid trip to China for the ACON5 Global Final
  • 2nd - 5 * ATI X850 VGA card
  • 3rd - 5 * ABIT Fatal1ty AA8XE motherboard
  • 4th - 5 * Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, NC1212 Pro-Gamer Headset
  • 5th - 5 * Chenbro Gaming Bomb II PC case
  • 6th - 5 * Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2 DDR-DIMM 1024MB Kit
  • 7th - 5 * Logitech Ext. 3D Pro Joystick, MX510 mouse, USB250 Headset & Deluxe Access Keyboard
  • 8th - 5 * Logitech MX510 mouse, USB250 Headset & Deluxe Access Keyboard
  • There will be 5 x MuVo MP3 Player to be awarded to individuals during the day that demonstrate exceptional individual performance during their matches.

The final takes place on Saturday 23rd April at the GameOn #60 event held at Uttoxeter Race Course. The 7 pre-qualified teams (LastChance, Landed, SLYNA, HyperX, mEx, esu.MIX, PPHS) will join the winning team from the GameOn 60 morning qualifier to compete for the aforementioned prizes.

Please note, that due to the format of the competition (2 groups of 4, top 2 advancing to playoffs), 5th - 8th position will be decided by the finishing position of the team within their group and then on the rounds against their opposite team in the other group to determine final positions.

Many have speculated about the 4K mix team attending the event, at present the following members have signed up under the 4K banner, Mangiacapra, Akujii, Harriman & Duck.

12:42 16/4/2005		 You wont really be able to lose a game to not come 5th because it will go on rounds between the 4 teams who finish 3rd and 4th in the groups, so basically the best of the 4 teams that dont make it get the gaming case. So either try to get through or lose all your games in the group stages.
