UK/IE Cup: Week 5 Starts In Style

The UK/IE CS Cup, one of the most prestigious and highly anticipated CS competitions in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which aims to stand out both as online and LAN event, started its season with 136 accepted British and Irish CS teams. The Groupstage starts its last out of five weeks, wherein a lot of important decisions are finally made. Expect some class games as no.1 seeded teams play no.2 seeds this week.

The match to watch without a doubt is Four Kings Vs. c4urself! (with KritikaL back in their ranks), which promises to be a intriguing match to watch, and decisive for the lead in their Group.

Our friends over at TsN Central, led by Hoo Man, will be casting the match over shoutcast (requires winamp) and TVsN videocast (requires windows mediaplayer 9) further details on the TsN website.

Synergy, who drew against Choke and lost to Team-X in their matches so far, will be trying their best to secure their first win, and chances of reaching the playoffs tonight.

twisted Reality, who were meant to be playing ONE tonight, decided not to show as their regular 5th has gone to university for two weeks, and as they already were qualified as 3rd in their group and there were no chances on finishing higher, decided not to trouble both teams with this match by not showing.

	vert 22:30 4/5/2004	Awesome game. sulph so nearly got the defuse on the first nuke pistol round... (two f***ing sick hs then about a second away from completing defuse) - those rounds would have clinched it. Solid performance from WilzOOO. And yeah, you're damn right it would've been a different story at LAN - I'd confidently say that c4u would stomped... their PCs are nothing compared to 4K's alienware systems. On and offline c4u are proving to be dangerous and most of all reliable. The fact that they havn't adopted the serious & professional attitude like all other achieving clans seems to keep people's spikes up against them - they're a team of (for the most part) juvenile loudmouths playing primarily for fun; not sponsorship or money. A group of younger (cl is 14) 'boisterous' kids can go tit for tat with 20+ years old professional Swedish-built teams like SK (and 4K...) despite juggling school, work and other commitments rather than training on a corporate sponsorship.
