Clanbase UK/IE Cup update

The latest results and fixtures from the Clanbase UK/IE Cup.
The Cup reached the final week (fire/inferno) of the group stages, in which 32 clans are divided into eight groups of four clans each, with only the top two going through to the single elimination playoffs.

Latest results:

Wednesday:

thkillerz vs. UniCon.cs (Group A, mill/dust2) 16 - 30
BLACKLiGHT vs. MonkeyMagic (Group H, fire/inferno) 13 - 35
Veterans vs. suiGeneris (Group A, mill/dust2) 24 - 24
mono vs. mrc.GDO (Group F, fire/inferno) wildcarded by mono

UniCon.cs (former reSonance) knock out thkillerz, and see VETS draw sG, which they drew against themselves last week on train/nuke.
This makes Group A very interesting with three teams in a thrilling race for a top 2 spot in this group, which implies a spot in the 1/8th-finals.
MonkeyMagic do their job well as favourite in their group and win their 3rd match, Blacklight ends on the second spot behind them.

Thursday:

9pm, enamor vs. Synergy Online (Group C, fire/inferno) wildcarded by Synergy
9pm, Choke vs. SCEE (Group G, fire/inferno) 25 - 4

Choke turned out to be the better side than SCEE on fire, although there were some close rounds, they won that map 20-4, and didn't have much trouble securing the matchwin on inferno, after which both teams decided to call it a day. Choke advance to the playoffs, knocking out SCEE.

Sunday's fixtures:

8pm, thkillerz vs. suiGeneris (Group A, fire/inferno)
8pm, Veterans vs. UniCon.cs (Group A, fire/inferno)
8pm, intrigue vs. fightclubclan (Group E, fire/inferno)
8pm, RemOte.uK vs. and Your mother (Group D, fire/inferno)
9pm, Snipers Alley vs. team SoliD (Group F, fire/inferno)

The groupstage nears its final hour, wherein sG needs to beat thk, and hope to do that with a score big enough to leave either VETS or uC (or both) behind them.
int can take a big step would they beat fcc, however fcc still have a theoretical chance themselves to go through, and might not have given up yet.

Allthough RemOte.uK's cs division officially folded, they insisted to play on in the UK/IE Cup until they were knocked out, aYm can pull that trigger by getting a draw at least against them.

Snipers Alley, who officially went inactive and are knocked out already, told us they will try to show Vs. SoliD and give them a hard time to avoid that team's desperately needed win.

HLTV ip's and scorebot channels will as always be announced first in #ukcup.
