If you hold it in London again everyone'll moan about all tournaments only ever going to London so why does everyone (and those from Scotland) have to get all the way down there?)
The Londoners and Southerners would moan if it was in the north, like Manchester etc (and they will now 'cos it's in Carlisle).
Sensibly Birmingham's the best venue travel-wise, and WCG picking NEC was a very good idea. They must have been logical and realised that it's possibly the easiest place to get to in the UK (trains go directly into the NEC), it's right next to a motorway etc. plus it's in the middle of the country so good for everyone to get to.
The question should not be of venue anyway, all anyone wants is a good network, good clans, good games and no f***-ups. You could hold CPL in a village hall with proper heating etc and it might be nicer than holding it in some giant corporate s***-hole with speakers from stands blasting out j-pop at 130db.
Carlisle, for those who don't know, is oop north. I've circled it on this map for you:

*Cue whoopeees from northerners and Scottish* [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

think its a good idea to place it somewhere different. means it won't cost me 100 quid to get there, time the rich south giot a chance to pay out some of what it earns. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
