"The alpha male of competitive Counter-Strike. Simply put the most successful Counter-Strike player of all time beyond a shadow of a doubt. Out of 12 CPL attendances 10 have resulted in victories, that's an insane statistic and one which is unlikely to be matched anytime soon unless the legendary HeatoN-Pott1 combo splits up. His CPL victories have won his teams over $200,000 in prize money. To put that in perspective: that's twice the total prize purse of the next CPL event. HeatoN has won CPLs in 6 seperate countries ensuring his name is always on the tip of every Counter-Strike fan's tongue when CPL time comes."
Although he's not won a CPL, surely Mangiacapra was worthy of an honourable mention? For consistency at the CPL level, if nothing else. Anyway, you can catch the full article over on their site.

oh, and recon, it's not actually, which is why all the various news sites are only reporting it today. The date says the 6th, but it's not been there since then :)

seems fair enough to me, im sure the rankings would be differently if it was on "skill" with some kind of ranking like 1 v 1's won x v 1's won , % of headshots per kill etc
.... but its not so stop fvcking whining u stupid bellends :> [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

For those saying liq hasn't won a CPL, I already said that in the news post. My point was...he's done more (in my opinion) than the likes of kane (yes, I know he's won one). [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

As for the article, the trouble is, it's going by individual success, but it's a team-based game. Therefore, since SK have dominated the game for 2-3 years, with a fairly stable line-up, all their members are going to end up on that page. A ranking based on skill statistics would be much more interesting, and allow for much more debate. :) [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
