I have now finished writing my latest article for UKTerrorist. The article looks into the health of gamers and the dangers we face as a result of our hobby.
Caffeine is found in coffee and other familiar products and can help those fighting against sleepiness. Coffee has been known to increase the reaction time of gamers and enhance alertness. It is safe for most people to consume a moderate amount of caffeine — about 300 milligrams, or the amount in two cups of coffee. It does depend greatly though upon how frequently you consume coffee. With the exception of a doctor informing you otherwise, it is fine to drink a fair amount of caffeine up to 300mg in the table shown below. As mentioned, if you do not consume caffeine in high doses regularly then jumping suddenly will have a few side effects. You will most likely wish to improve your reaction time, which would be successful, but you may experience a jittery feeling and find yourself being more nervous in tense situations.

I think it's certainly a concern - for example, are we raising the chances and perhaps severity of arthritis in later life? That's no joke, just speak to an arthritis sufferer...

With that in mind, I bought myself a rather unlikely aid during the summer: a wrist sweat-band. What this basically did was cushion my wrist against the corner of my desk (I blame my f***ing huge CRT (deep that is, not wide :/)). My wrist now feels fine, and no longer aches.

0.75 grams is where caffeine starts causing adverse symptoms, and according to what I read, even half what you claim to have had would cause convulsions, breathing problems and heart palpitations [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
