CPL Winter 2003 Championship Preview

The guys over on gotFrag have posted the obligatory CPL Winter 2003 preview. Firstly, they run through how they see the seedings for the competition shaking up, with our very own 4K nabbing 5^th spot. Finally, they've come up with a top 10 run down on the 'players to watch', where Mangiacapra came in 7^th. Here's a snippet on the man himself:

"It's tough to go out on a limb, but if there's one player who truly transcends his team, then it is Mangiacapra; the recent flood of Swedes to his side is no mistake. You really think two more would join Xenon and leave this guy if he wasn't special? Both snajdan and Hartman have joined up along with DarK giving Mangiacapra his best roster yet, now can he not have a let down and prove that he really is possibly the best player in the world? If you haven't seen him play before, you better go find a demo or make sure you watch a 4K HLTV this coming CPL for the fireworks."

Unsurprisingly, the top 3 consists of Ksharp, XeqtR, and HeatoN, though not in that order. They also have a few short interviews, with the likes of 3D, NoA, 4K, and SK, appearing over the next few days, if not already. Check out the full article for more.

The CPL have also posted a little news about a preview video, by Gamer.tv, which focuses on contenders such as SK, 3D, Adrenaline, 4K. Also featured are short sections on the Halo championship, and long-time CPL wonderboy, Fatal1ty. It's 7 mins long, and is worth a watch if you have the time.

	Carb theb0g 13:52 18/12/2003	I don't understand why the Yanks talk up one player. Its not like the rest of their scene has no one special. I actually think KSharp isn't as good as some of the other US players. He's lost it somewhat and isn't as good as he once was, maybe everyone else just caught up a bit. I still reckon that on their day any player in the topflight could be talked about as the best in the World. The list was just some people to watch but I think it misses out a fair amount of very good players who have something to prove or need a good performance. Where is sunman.
