First up is Steam. According to Steam's News Site there will be a new Steam installer released today. This is of course due to the many people having problems downloading through Steam itself. The latest incarnation of the installer will include the cache files for all the games available via steam (DOD, TFC, etc).

Next up, CAL has given the green light for the mighty shield of destruction, well ok, the riot shield. Apparently there is a bug which allows users the ability to shoot whilst in the protection of the shield. This should be fixed in time for the re-opening of CAL in 2 weeks time. A quote from CSNation:

"The primary bonus of Steam compared to traditional roll-outs is that Steam installations can be updated on the fly. This functionality allows VALVe to tune the gameplay, fix bugs, and distribute new features without doing a full-scale release."

Oh and I'm not dead (sorry to disappoint you all), I think this quote sums my situation up: "Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now." See you when I'm back at uni.
