HLDS Comes Steaming Into Town

Following on from the Steam related post of yesterday, the 1.6 HLDS has been released for both Linux and Windows based systems.

Although not particularly newsworthy in its own right, I was initially waiting for the client release as well, hopefully the early arrival and download of the HLDS can ensure that all you server admins out there can get what you need before the rush.

	fez 12:05 11/9/2003	its the dedicated server, basically it allows ppl who run servers, bygames jolt etc. to be prepared for the crossover to steam and 1.6. so that when steam and 1.6 arrive the gaming servers shud hopefully be updated and ready to rock thats my take on it anyway [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]

Also Steam will be needed to PLay any other Valve games IE: CS:CZ & HL2 & TF2 Its not as bad as everyone thinks, ive been using it since January amd at that time it was very buggy! but the past few months the game has been solid.
