Steam Updated

Following on from the Steam update dated the 29th of October, today yields another one. To receive the update you'll have to restart the Steam application. Below is a list of the changelog:

· Fixed "Cache read error" some user are experiencing
· Steam now checks for invalid CD keys immediately on game launch
· Optimized content server load balancing
· Change banner to always show the most recently connected content server
· Fixed "No config servers online" state error
· Steam now handles simultaneously logging in to multiple machines better
· Fixed forced disconnections happening too often - this will now only happen if Steam's filesystem is lost
· Fixed several cases where the 'ticket has expired' error could occur without displaying the refresh login dialog
· Fixed all cases of the #Steam_Roo missing string problem
· Added support for ATI "Rebate" product keys

	Pash 14:13 1/11/2003	dh i have the same problem when i have a half life platinum pack sitting infront of me....its f*ing pey if you ask me and ive emailed steam twice about it and they r yet to do sweet fa. They need to let people manage their accounts and delete if necessary, say i dont wanna use steam in the future but it still contains data about me on their network? 	TeeJay 03:07 2/11/2003	Naz, the reason u keep joining servers with a rate of 7500 is because Steam controls it now. Start regedit, and go to HKCUSoftwareValveSteam There should be a string called Rate with a value of 7500. Change it to whatever you want. Its connected with the Internet Connection Speed dropdown in the Steam Settings and if you ever click OK, it'll get changed back. [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
