	Fox ClanNEW 08:49 17/1/2003	i got in early and managed to get it all downloaded, started up a LAN game, things i noticed 1) deagle rate of fire slightly increased 2) awp double zoom now totally smooth 3) smoke grenades explode better and now cover an area in smoke as soon as they explode, this is a major change i think, gonna see some big impact on gameplay 4) riot shield looks useful, 5) awp now slot 5 in the rifles, auto sniper at slot 6 6) inferno looking a lot better, noisy door now silent on there 7) aztec bomb sites much larger, can now plant bomb in B (think its b) and cover from top of ct spawn 8) guns on floor seem to be smaller that they were in 1.5, no idea why, almost look like icons of guns rather than actual full size models 9) Famas burst fire looks godly, automatic mode is wild and hard to control 10) gali looks like a good v cheap (2000) spraying gun, not sure on long range accuracy of it but up close its precise enough. 	Phunky 09:01 17/1/2003	Its a Real shame Valve got this Wrong again! They can sit here and blame it on LEAKED Version of steam... but end of the day. They still didnt have enough servers and bandwidth for the whole world... i mean come on! this is CS everytime a CS update comes along the NET stops!! i must admit i got hold of a leak copy. Which i didnt Load up until 6:50pm as it was at this time i got a succseful ping back from the steam master server! Once i did get in and loaded up steam i thought it was all very nice and dandy! but after a 2hour Download wait i final thought i was gonna be able to play 1.6 but no! steam crashed i got angry! and cud not get back on steam! ive heard a few ppl got on early this morning and late late last nite! 	VespR 10:12 17/1/2003	500Mbit isn't a lot. The avg. american cable user can reach speeds (easily, as far as I'm aware) of 500Kb/s. Not to mention all the swedes who have a lot of bandwith with their connections. Anyway 1000 users at 500kb/s and the bandwith is capped. As I said on ESReality, there's always at least 50,000 playing Counter-Strike at any given time. I'm sorry but if this is to be the outcome everytime a highly anticipated patch or game is to be released via steam I'll take 5 mins out my life and get some fresh air knowing when I reach the shop and get back I can play the game I want. Rather than be told, "Steam Suspended, till we ponce bandwith off loads of other people". Good idea, not practical imo... [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]

	Ferrers-Work 11:37 17/1/2003	In Truth as much as its nice to get the latest patch straight away im actually going to wait on this one for a few days mainly due to the fact that its reported that atm you can only use the patch on your own dedicated server. "There are better ways to play with yourself" ooohhh errrrrr. Well speaking from personal experience as someone who used steam beta 1 when it first came out, Its encouraging to see that they are looking for more servers to host from, was the major problem last time only 1 uk server from what i remember for like first month Also out of interest to you that have got it does when the game crash it come up corrupt file and make you dl again for like 30 minutes that was the killer for me in steam beta 1 , hoping the file integrity is better this time. Also they don't HAVE to give us anything or fix any bugs. Why don't people realise that we are LUCKY to be playing a game that the developers are actively helping to develop and improove... I would like to see some of the people moaning try to do even half the job that Valve is doing. Maybe if people realised the amount of time and money that is being poured into the game they might actually be appreciative of what Valve are doing instead of being a bunch of immature, thoughtless tossers. 	VespR 16:07 17/1/2003	I paid for HL so I could play CS. Also they paid Gooseman and Cliffe with an undisclosed fee to own all the rights for Counter-Strike. Whether you bought it from them or not, they own it and will continue to update it because they don't have anything else on their books for at least another year. All their other HL spin offs haven't exactly been amazing and TF2 seems to have been forgotten about completely. With Goose working on CS2, don't expect that for at least a year or two, then this is their big money ticket. 	Del` Sniper's Alley 16:42 17/1/2003	Arsen, all the smoke grenades I've seen have been the same as 1.5 smoke grenades, they land, and then let out clouds of smoke over time. You're prob thinking of smoke shells, which can be fired by artillery etc, and do explode with a cloud of smoke like the 1.6 ones.
