Following on from their interview with Knoxville, the guys over at Core E-Sports have now interviewed Torbull, manager of top US clan, Team 3D.
The inevitable question: We were all very surprised to see 3D eliminated so early in the CPL tournament. What went wrong this time around?[3D]-Torbull: Well it wasn’t a lack of preparation or a lack of heart or desire. We simply didn’t execute what we had been practicing during the ten day bootcamp beforehand. Our strategies seemed unpolished and we just seemed out of sync. We didn’t win the 1v1 and 2v2 gun battles that we usually do and when you play against the top teams in the world that is enough to eliminate you earlier than you hoped for.
Much of the interview is largely redundant now since it was done before the CXG 'event', hence they concentrated on that quite a bit, but it's still fairly interesting to read what their thoughts in the run up were.
